Pope thanks supporters after cancer surgery
The leader of the church thanked his supporters after a recent surgery. He underwent surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from his lung. He thanked all who had prayed for him during his recent hospital stay.
He expressed his gratitude to the medical staff at Gemelli Hospital. He also thanked the medical team, nurses, and all staff at the hospital. He thanked the rector of the Sacred Heart University and the hospital management.
He said that he had felt the support of all those who had prayed for him. He said that he would gradually resume his activities. All papal audiences were canceled until October 20.
