The National Week of Life in Brazil started on October 1. This year's observance is accompanied by the words of Christ from the Gospel of John: "I came that they may have life and have it abundantly". Materials prepared for the faithful include a reflection text titled "Hour of Life". This text was included in the same brochure used during the National Family Week. Organizers encourage that the days leading up to the Day of Conceived Life become a time for prayer, as well as fostering an attitude that serves to protect human life and oppose the culture of death.

As emphasized by a church advisor, the question of the meaning of human life is particularly relevant today. "This reflection is urgent in a society marked by scientific and technological progress, but also by loneliness, fear, violence, a culture of rejection, fragile family bonds, and loss of hope," he points out. He notes that this is not merely an abstract debate. "The question of the meaning of life touches upon the fears of children, youth, adults, the elderly, the sick, and families," he adds.

The culmination of the National Week of Life will occur on October 8, the Day of Conceived Life. The observance aims to remind the faithful of the need for care for life and its dignity, as well as to encourage building a culture where every human life is welcomed and protected.
