The Advisers Group of the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil held a meeting to discuss pastoral initiatives following the session of the Permanent Council. This gathering took place on Thursday from four thirty in the afternoon until seven in the evening. The edition of the Advisers Group was marked by an opening prayer led by the adviser for the Episcopal Commission for Missionary Action, during which participants were motivated to recall Missionary Month.

According to Father Tiago Camargo, the pastoral subsecretary of the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil, an advancement of the meeting was the discussion by advisers regarding the Fraternity Campaign of two thousand twenty-seven and how to make it better known and disseminated. This effort is intended to occur especially through the work carried out by the commissions of the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil. The group considered instruments that could help amplify knowledge of the campaign, keeping in mind the importance it holds for Evangelization and for enhancing the work realized by the commissions.

The campaign adviser of the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil, Father Jean Poul Hansen, provided a report on the Campaign for Evangelization. The adviser of campaigns reinforced the time during which it takes place, which is the period of Advent. He informed attendees that the poster is currently being printed and that five copies will be sent to each parish in Brazil. Father Jean Poul also stated that the campaign will make available a series of communication pieces, including spots for radio, videos for television, and posts for social networks. He reinforced to the presidents of the nineteen regionals of the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil present at the meeting the importance of motivating bishops and priests for the realization of the campaign, noting that nothing replaces the mobilizing word of the priest within the community.

The communication adviser of the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil, Father Arnaldo Rodrigues, presented to the Advisers Group the proposal for the new website of the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil with space for the websites of the commissions. The proposal was detailed with a focus on the space and the work that the commissions will need to perform to assist in this production. The Commission for Biblical-Catechetical Animation shared information regarding the Pilgrimage of Catechists and the Seminar of the Bible Month of two thousand twenty-six, as well as the book that will be the object of study in two thousand twenty-seven. Discussions also covered the Latin American encounter for the culture of care and its relation to the code of ethics of the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil.

Another highlight, according to Father Tiago, was the organization of the Missionary Year spanning from two thousand twenty-eight to two thousand twenty-nine and how the commissions could become involved in a synodal manner in its preparation. The advisers of the Commission for Missionary Animation made an appeal to advisers to become involved in joint elaboration and to join in encouraging the completion of a form that will be sent and must be answered by February of two thousand twenty-seven. The pastoral subsecretary also reinforced the necessity for advisers to deliver the quadrennial reports of the commissions by the first day of November. Orientations for budgetary planning for two thousand twenty-seven were also presented, with the final deadline for submission set for the tenth day of November of this year.
