A new initiative has been launched to provide support for individuals living without parents, particularly aiming to assist those in their forties who may fall through the cracks of existing care systems. The 'Comprehensive Care Station Daiji' in Edogawa Ward, Tokyo, was established to fill these gaps by offering various services including home nursing, home care, and informal support for those who do not qualify for existing welfare programs.

This initiative also includes the 'After Parents Consultation Room' operated by local temples and churches, focusing on the needs of individuals with disabilities and those experiencing social withdrawal. The project reflects a commitment to reach out to all individuals, regardless of their circumstances.

The founder expressed that despite the comprehensive network of care services, gaps still exist that leave many individuals unsupported. The initiative aims to address these issues, emphasizing the need for community involvement from local churches and temples, in addition to formal medical and care services.

The founder shared a personal experience of feeling a sense of helplessness when faced with the suffering of others. This has driven the commitment to ensure that no one is left behind, regardless of their situation. The approach is rooted in the belief that helping others is not about their qualifications but rather about responding to their immediate suffering.

The initiative draws inspiration from both Christian and Buddhist teachings regarding compassion and support for those in need. The founder underscored that the essence of this support lies in simply being present for those who are struggling, echoing the messages from both faiths that emphasize the importance of recognizing and responding to suffering.

The 'Comprehensive Care Station Daiji' has just begun its journey in addressing these critical needs, aiming to be a beacon of hope for those in vulnerable situations, with a focus on compassion and community support.
