# Saint-Joseph Chapel to Host Fifth Radio-Filmed Mass

The chapel of the Missions in Bouveret will host the fifth radio-filmed mass of this year on RTS-Espace 2 to commemorate Mission Sunday.

Mission Sunday is at the heart of October, a month dedicated entirely to mission work. Swiss bishops are calling on the faithful to generously contribute to a collection to support dioceses that are not financially autonomous, across more than 120 countries in Africa, Asia, Oceania, and Latin America. In 2026, the host church will be in Bolivia, with which Missio Switzerland is in close contact.

To mark this Mission Sunday, which celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2026, a mass will be celebrated in the chapel of the School of Missions in St-Gingolph. This site has trained almost all Swiss Spiritan missionaries, as well as many pastoral workers from Swiss dioceses, between 1937 and 1987.

In St-Gingolph, the Eucharist will be presided over by Father Jean-Louis Rey, who will also deliver the sermon. Musically, the celebration will be led a capella by the vocal group L’Air de Rien, directed by Frédéric Jochum. The image production is managed by Fabrice Junod from Cleanfeed, with presentation by Grégory Roth, a journalist from RTSreligion.
