An environmental organization has reported that each ING customer contributes 768 euros annually to the fossil industry. This statement is part of a campaign initiated earlier this year titled ‘Our Money for Good’. The campaign is supported by various organizations including A Rocha, the Catholic alliance Laudato Si’, the Christian investors association De Nieuwe Beurskoers, and Green Churches.

Church councils and church boards are urged to make additional requests to ING. These requests include developing concrete plans to reduce contributions to climate change and prioritizing human rights and care for creation in investment decisions.

This initiative reflects a growing concern among various groups regarding the environmental impact of financial investments. The organizations involved are calling for greater accountability and a shift towards more sustainable practices within the financial sector.
