An 11-year-old orphan girl named Ann is adopted by an elderly brother and sister living on an island, where she encounters various people and experiences personal growth. This animated story is currently airing on Fuji Television starting from October.

The narrative invites viewers to consider the presence of children without parents in their own communities. The best-selling book, the Bible, advises that one should treat such children (orphans) kindly.

In a significant message, the Bible quotes Jesus Christ, who reassures believers, saying, "I will not leave you as orphans." This reflects the idea that, regardless of one’s current situation, even if feeling completely alone, Jesus is with them.

Even in a time when one feels surrounded by adversaries, the message emphasizes that no one is truly alone; Jesus is present, right there at this moment.

The column cites John 14:18, which states, "I will not leave you as orphans."

The organization behind the column has seen growth, achieving monthly page views between 300,000 and 400,000, making it one of the most read Christian online media outlets in Japan. To support its ongoing activities and enhance reporting, the organization is seeking monthly supporters starting from 1,000 yen. All supporters will receive an original eco-bag featuring a Bible verse.

Other recent news highlights include various religious and social issues, such as a tragic incident where a Catholic priest died after being struck by a falling cross during a mass in Ecuador, and the conviction of 29 leaders from a Christian cult in Kenya for the murder of 191 individuals. Additionally, a leader of a sect known for sexual assaults was sentenced to 33 years in prison, exceeding initial sentencing recommendations.

There is also news of a peace roundtable conference that gathered about 100 religious figures from 12 countries and regions, marking Iran's first participation. In the United States, a gospel team from New York is set to arrive for an event in Osaka aimed at preventing abuse. Furthermore, discussions about the challenges and breakthroughs in theology continue, alongside updates on various church activities across Japan, including a bilingual New Testament publication and the opening of a new campus in Shibuya.
