National CE Hosts Faith-Based Gathering for Christian Singles
National CE organized an event for 34 unmarried young adults to share their beliefs and values on October 10. The gathering took place at the Plutoss Café in Daegu, led by the Daegu-Gyeongbuk CE Council. The event, titled '2026 I Am a Christian Single', aimed to facilitate connections among attendees in their 20s and 30s.
The worship session was led by preparation committee chair Elder Lee Gi-han, with Elder Choi Seon-hyo offering prayers. Pastor Lee Kwang-jik from Geumgok Church delivered a message titled 'A Person to Walk Together', emphasizing the importance of building relationships that support each other's shortcomings rather than seeking perfection in a partner.
Chairman Kim Na-young expressed that the event was not just about meeting potential partners but also about deepening connections within shared faith. She encouraged participants to discover valuable companionship through shared laughter and faith.
Participants engaged in activities like 30-second self-introductions and meal-sharing through a lottery system. They also discussed faith perspectives and ideal partners in small groups, and participated in mission games and one-on-one conversations.
At the event's conclusion, a 'Heart Signal' activity allowed participants to choose partners of interest, resulting in two pairs matched on-site, with a total of five pairs connected after further matching. Attendees expressed satisfaction in meeting new people and shared experiences, regardless of match outcomes. One participant noted that it was a meaningful time to discuss experiences and beliefs with peers.
