Leon XIV has requested prayerful support from the faithful as he prepares to begin an apostolic journey to Uruguay, Argentina, and Peru in two days. He expressed his hope for blessings on this mission to these cherished countries during today's general audience.

In his address to Spanish-speaking pilgrims, the Pope mentioned the upcoming Apostolic Journey to Latin America. He urged believers to pray for this visit to strengthen faith, renew hope, ignite the fire of love, and serve as a motivation for further joyful evangelization.

At the conclusion of the audience, the Pope announced that two beatifications will take place on Saturday, November 7. In Antigua Guatemala, Augusto Rafael Ramírez Monasterio will be beatified. The Holy Father described him as "a priest of the Order of Friars Minor, murdered out of hatred for the faith in 1983."

Meanwhile, in Santander, Spain, Francesco González de Córdova, a diocesan priest, along with his 79 companions, priests, seminarians, and laypeople, will be beatified for their bravery in shedding their blood for love of Christ during the persecutions in Spain in the last century. Leon XIV noted, "These new Blessed reveal another fragment of the 'innumerable crowd' of the Lord's friends."

The Pope also reflected on the liturgical memorial of Saint Charles Borromeo, highlighting him as an exemplary Archbishop of Milan who was filled with fervent love for the Lord. He encouraged, "Following his example, let Christ guide you in your daily lives."

From November 6 to 17, Leon XIV will visit Uruguay, Argentina, and Peru, making this a 12-day pilgrimage across three countries where he is scheduled to deliver 36 speeches in Spanish.
