Jesuit Biblical School in Warsaw Begins Lectures on Prophetic Books
The Jesuit Biblical School has launched its annual course in Warsaw, organized by Jesuit lecturers from the Catholic Academy in Warsaw known as Collegium Bobolanum. This two-year cycle of meetings focuses on the Bible and related topics. The initiative aims to introduce the Holy Scripture, explain basic issues, present individual books and their messages, and inspire people to read and understand the text. This year's lectures are dedicated to the prophetic books, with special emphasis on the Book of Isaiah, as well as Saint Paul and his letters, examining the lives of the first Christians.
The biblical meetings take place on Wednesdays from 18:00 to 19:30 in the Great Hall of Collegium Bobolanum located at Rakowiecka Street 61 in Warsaw. The first session occurred on October 7. The classes are conducted in a hybrid format, both live and streamed online. Everyone is warmly welcomed to attend in person or via the internet. More information can be found on the website biblia.jezuici.pl. The school is directed toward individuals interested in deepening their knowledge of the Bible and experiencing its contents anew.
Organizers state they wish to popularize modern biblical scholarship achievements through working with the text, without fear of asking difficult questions and seeking answers together. Living faith in the Risen Jesus allows believers to maintain hope and peace of heart amidst life's adversities, sufferings, and anxieties.
