# “Faith Connected Through Life” Festival Celebrates Reformation

A significant festival igniting the flame of reform in the hearts of the next generation took place, celebrating the 509th anniversary of the Reformation. The Grace Mountain Christian School, a registered alternative education institution, successfully concluded its ‘Reformation Commemoration Week’ event from October 26 to 30, with participation from all students.

This event, ongoing for over ten years since 2012, was designed not to remain a historical occurrence but to restore the essence of the gospel in students' lives today. The school utilized the first class each day for reflection on the Word, incorporating meaningful discussions, video viewings, and the writing of reform documents throughout the week.

The highlight of the festival was the ‘Word Festival’ held during chapel time. Transforming the format of the sermon competition for the first time in six years into a ‘festival for all,’ a total of 13 students, including class representatives and volunteers, took the stage. Participants delivered living messages tailored to their peers for 5 to 7 minutes, confirming that “the Word can be proclaimed by anyone.”

The ‘Bible Story Festival’ by elementary students also moved many. They adapted biblical messages into performances through plays, puppet shows, and narrations. The ‘Reformation O/X Golden Bell,’ a knowledge competition based on video learning, created a vibrant atmosphere as students and teachers united.

The displayed ‘Reform Documents’ also caught attention. Inspired by Luther's 95 theses, students collaborated by grade to derive practical tasks in faith, learning, and friendship. They affixed their resolutions to the classroom doors, reflecting on their lives. The founder expressed commitment to continue educational practices that ensure the next generation inherits the spiritual legacy of the Reformation, showcasing the essence of faith education intertwined with knowledge and life.
