# Daily Gospel Reflection for October 6, 2026

On October 6, 2026, Jesus and His disciples continued their journey into a village, where a woman named Martha welcomed Jesus into her home. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet listening to His words.

Martha was distracted by many tasks, and she approached Him and said, "Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me!" But the Lord answered her, "Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things!

There is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the good portion, which shall not be taken away from her."
