# Chairman of KEP appeals for prayer for Leon XIV's health

Artur Hanula Abp Wojda is currently in Rome for a week-long meeting commemorating the 10th anniversary of "Amoris laetitia." He addressed the faithful in a brief video recording on social media. The faithful also prayed for the health of Leon XIV on the evening of October 11 during the Jasna Góra Appeal at the chapel of the Miraculous Image of the Mother of God at Jasna Góra. Unexpected information from the Pope regarding a planned surgical procedure was shared with the faithful after the Sunday Angelus prayer.

He stated that a nodule was detected in his lungs, noted to be at a very early stage and well-localized. According to Matteo Bruni, the spokesperson for the Holy See, the procedure is scheduled for the first days, with an expected hospitalization period of about one week after surgery.
