# Archbishop of Los Angeles calls for 'everyday testimony' with migrant families in ongoing uncertainty

The Archbishop of Los Angeles encouraged living compassion and everyday service as a response to the suffering of families facing situations of uncertainty. During the Mass in Recognition for Migrants, held on September 20, the Archbishop invited attendees to renew hope, compassion for those who suffer, and commitment to everyday service as a path to build the Kingdom of God. The celebration aimed to spiritually accompany migrants and their families, especially those experiencing moments of uncertainty.

During the homily, the prelate reminded that each Christian has a specific area where they are called to serve: the home, the workplace, and the community. In this sense, he encouraged living love as a way of life and bringing more people to God through everyday testimony. He expressed, "Everyone has their own vineyard," inviting individuals to discover opportunities to collaborate with God's work in their daily tasks.

At the conclusion of the celebration, a prayer was offered for all migrant families, asking that Jesus be comfort and hope for those facing difficulties and uncertainties. The Mass is part of the pastoral support that the Archdiocese of Los Angeles provides to migrant communities, a reality particularly significant in one of the dioceses with the highest Hispanic population in the United States.
