Aid to the Church in Need Focuses on Global Education Projects

Aid to the Church in Need is prioritizing education initiatives across several regions. The organization currently supports schools in the Middle East to help Christian families reduce their education costs.

In Africa, the foundation has provided scholarships for students to study in Poland, primarily at the Catholic University of Lublin. The Polish section of the organization coordinates these scholarship grants.

Additional educational efforts include a planned school for catechists. This project will operate using a hybrid model, largely via the internet, as a joint initiative between the Catholic University of Lublin and the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow.

Another initiative started by the Polish section involves young Syrians living and studying in Lebanon who create religious mosaics. The sale of these mosaics funds scholarships for their studies. Four other offices of Aid to the Church in Need intend to join this project.

These directions were discussed during a meeting of church assistants in Rome, which included retreats and talks with Vatican dicasteries to determine future activities.
