SBC Constitutional Amendment Banning Female Pastors Again Fails To Achieve a Two-Thirds Majority

The so-called “Law Amendment,” which Southern Baptist Convention messengers failed to add to their constitution at their annual meeting last year, failed in its new iteration to gain the two-thirds majority needed to move forward with adding a ban on female pastors to the SBC Constitution.
