Secular Group Asks IRS to Revoke Tax-Exempt Status of Billy Graham Evangelical Association for “Political Campaigning”

by Karen Faulkner, Worthy News Correspondent (Worthy News) – The US Freedom From Religion Foundation, which advocates for the separation of church and state, has reported the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association to the Internal Revenue Service for “illegal political campaigning.” The BGEA has 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status which means that, under the Internal Revenue Code, it cannot “participate in, or intervene in (including the publishing or distributing of statements), any political campaign o
