Strait of Hormuz tensions rise; ministry urges prayer for U.S. troops

Iran (MNN) – The United States says it has destroyed 16 Iranian mine-laying vessels as tensions continue to rise in the Persian Gulf. The strikes come as Iran attempts to disrupt oil traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical shipping lane where roughly a fifth of the world’s oil passes each day.
